State Your Color
DS has been involved in a play class at the Rec. Center this month and yesterday was the class' last meeting. It was held at our house so that the kids could all ride our trains (I'll post pictures later).
Anyway, one of the Moms brought us a little thank you gift--and it was so neat I wanted to share it with you. Crayola has a 64 crayon set called State Your Color with new names for existing Crayola colors. Click on "View Winners" on the link in the headline above, and you get a list of the 50 states with their associated colors and color names. This could lead to fun discussions about why the states were given their particular colors.
In addition, the Crayola website has TONS of activities--most are accessible after you register, which is free and quick (unless you can't make up your mind when asked which is your favorite color!).
